Job Summary

PSEG is looking for an Intern for the PSEG Long

This job involves working with the Legal Team to provide legal support to the PSEG Long Island Lines of Business.

This position will be Remote Local

 

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

  • Performing legal researching on PSC policies and orders and REV related issues  
  • Gathering and analyzing statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, documents and other data
  • Preparing and tracking real estate closing checklists and transactional documentation from letter of intent through completion of closing binders.
  • Preparing pleadings • Reviewing and summarizing articles, etc. on commercial law and energy law topics of interest and source publications
  • Reviewing Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreements under negotiation, and discussing proposed revisions and strategies regarding same.

 

Job Specific Qualifications

Job Specific Qualifications

  • Current Law Student who has completed by June 2024 as least their first year of law school (or evening student equivalent)
  • Proficient in the use of Westlaw
  • Ability to complete legal research and writing assignments within established deadlines and with minimal or moderate guidance.
  • Ability to research and articulate the law on a wide variety of legal subjects, with the understanding that this research may be used by practicing attorneys in their representation of the company.
  • Undergraduate BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university
