The Chairman's Office Americas (COA) supports and coordinates our operating units, R&D centers, and representative offices across the Americas with corporate functions and services. Given our fast growth, we are constantly looking for talented new colleagues to become part of our team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Head of Legal Affairs, Americas with general corporate legal matters, including reviewing and revising contracts, maintaining a corporate database and records for regional subsidiaries, tracking, and managing regional litigation, and supporting merger and acquisition activity.
  • Prepare corporate and litigation reports using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Draft corporate governance documents, working with outside counsel as needed.
  • Develop strong relationships with Chairman's Office America’s company management, local outside counsel, and other Motherson Regional Legal Departments.
  • Results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Meeting demanding deadlines with strong time management skills.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of management globally.
  • Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with applicable law.
  • Support with other case-related or departmental tasks as needed.

Qualifications 1.      Juris Doctor. 2.      Licensed to practice law in any US State, Mexico, Argentina, or Brazil. 3.      Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing corporate law with some law firm experience and international experience a plus. 4.      Strong on negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. 5.      Proven ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced corporate environment. 6.      Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 7.      Spanish or Portuguese fluency is a plus.
