Due to increasing demand, we are now actively seeking qualified freelance attorneys in the area of skilled and experienced contract attorney with a focus on _construction and litigation.

_ The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of relevant experience in both state and federal court proceedings. _Bankruptcy experience is an asset.

_ Types of work may include research, drafting and general assistance with managing files to completion.

Responsibilities:

The attorney will be engaged in a diverse range of legal activities, including but not limited to:

• Drafting demand letters
• Drafting opinion letters
• Drafting construction demands
• Drafting court documents including pleadings, discovery, and motions
• Conducting and defending depositions
• Performing legal research
• Participating in hearings
• Communicating with opposing parties
• Participating in settlement negotiations
• Engaging with prospective clients

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• Florida Bar License (Required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Fort Lauderdale, FL 33394

Part-time, Contract

Salary: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour

Requirements

Requirements:

• Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of 3-5 years in practice
• Minimum3- 5 years of construction and litigation. The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of relevant experience in both state and federal court proceedings. Bankruptcy experience is an asset.
• Strong research and writing skills
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and be well organized
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• Experience in Construction and Litigation (3-5 years preferred)
• Bilingual — proficiency in English and Spanish
• Know how to e-file in state court and federal court (as a backup to the paralegal)
• Familiarity with LEDES billing
• Be available during business hours
• Be available in the evening, when necessary
• Available for weekly virtual meetings and occasional in-person meetings in South Florida
• Licensed in the state of Florida
