Our client, Potomac Legal Group, is hiring an Associate Attorney.

Potomac Legal Group PLLC is seeking an Associate Attorney. Our firm is widely recognized for its successful client results. We welcome applications from new attorneys recently licensed to practice law who have a strong interest in employment law and litigation. Successful candidates will have a combined experience in law clerk or legal assistant positions; law firm internships; or judicial clerkships. The position would also be a good fit for candidates with up to three years or more of attorney experience in employment law or litigation.

Successful candidates will have a record of outstanding achievement, superior writing and analytical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, participation in law review, journals, clinical legal work and/or extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Currently licensed (Active) in the District of Columbia, Maryland or Virginia.
  • Ability to work in all phases of employment litigation.
  • Review and analyze complex employment agreements.
  • Prepare demands, motions and pleadings.
  • Must be able to have extensive client interaction.
  • Must be able to appear in court.
  • Must be proficient with handling high volumes of cases.
  • Must be able to take and defend depositions.
  • Must be able to argue motions.
  • Experience preparing for and attending trials, arbitrations, settlement conferences
  • and mediation.
  • Possess a demonstrated history of excellence in their career, as well as a passion for
  • serving clients.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, stellar organization skills and the ability to
  • not only communicate well but to fully grasp real-life implications that these cases
  • have on our clients.
