JOB TITLE: Legal Administrator

LOCATION : Corporate

DEPARTMENT : Legal

FLSA STATUS : Exempt

REPORTS TO: SVP, Chief Legal Counsel

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide legal support to the LJS brand team, and general counsel in the areas of domestic and international franchising, franchisee relations, development, real estate, operations, marketing/advertising, human resources, and training and operational issues.

  • Research laws, investigate facts, and prepare documents to assist Legal Counsel.
  • File correspondence and legal documents according to office filing system.
  • Ensure proper indexing and filing of original legal documents.
  • Schedule appointments, provide information to callers, take dictation, compose and type routine correspondence, and read/route incoming mail.

_ EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE : Minimal requirements .

  • Bachelor’s degree / paralegal certification from ABA accredited program preferred.
  • 2-5 years experience in law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Experience in franchise law and regulatory matters.
  • Background in commercial real estate a plus.
  • Background in litigation a plus.
