Compliance Manager

As a Compliance Manager at Bahler Management Group, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company's adherence to various compliance standards, including but not limited to 1099 reporting, insurance compliance, and other regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with internal teams, analyze processes, and implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1.1099 Reporting Compliance:

  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation and submission of 1099 forms for contractors and vendors.
  • Monitor changes in IRS regulations and update reporting processes accordingly.

Collaborate with Accounts Payable team to ensure proper withholding and reporting of payments.

2.Insurance Compliance:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain insurance compliance policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with insurance providers to ensure appropriate coverage levels and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Monitor insurance certificates for subcontractors to ensure compliance with company requirements.
  • Manage insurance renewals and claims

3.Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards that impact corporate shared services.
  • Assess the impact of regulatory changes on our operations and develop strategies for compliance.
  • Conduct periodic compliance audits and risk assessments.
  • Research and register in new territories

4.Training and Awareness:

  • Provide training and guidance to employees regarding compliance matters.
  • Promote a culture of compliance within the organization by fostering awareness and ethical behavior.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure compliance considerations are integrated into business processes.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and external regulatory bodies when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Legal, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience in compliance management, with a strong focus on tax reporting and insurance compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and laws, including IRS regulations related to 1099 reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in conducting compliance audits and risk assessments is a plus.
