Job Summary To develop, train, teach, coach safety and emergency response protocol best practices to keep our team members, guests, and outside parties safe. Maintain all Safety and Health regulations and contribute to promoting safety cultural excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interpret and implement OSHA federal and state laws and legal compliance.
  • Assist TA Operating LLC Emergency Readiness and Response Team.
  • Develop and conduct safety training for operations personnel
  • Initiate monthly safety marketing initiatives including developing monthly safety committee topics and programs.
  • Administer programs such as forklifts, SDS books, first aid and safety vendors.
  • Inspect sites to identify safety and health hazards and train team members on proper corrections.
  • Develop and implement safety policies, programs, training, and initiatives.
  • Perform accident and injury investigations.
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of performance reports such as injury rates and workers’ compensation performance.
  • Reduce the frequency and cost associated with workers’ compensation and general liability losses.
  • Maintain personal development by attending various safety and emergency response webinars, seminars, or conferences

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field (safety, health, environmental) or equivalent experience.
  • Must have 3+ years experience in safety.
  • Professional designation and/or certifications in health and safety preferred.
  • Must be able to perform training in a classroom setting or via webinar.

Competencies

  • Must demonstrate leadership skills and abilities.
  • Must have good communication and analytical skills and be proficient in PC/spreadsheet capabilities.
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone and by email.
  • Must have the ability to perform project management and work with multiple departments to meet goals in a timely fashion.
  • Computer literacy in basic applications including word, excel and power point is a must. Experience with Microsoft, Peoplesoft, and SAP are a plus.

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $72,000 to $80,000. This range reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role. The base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Must be able to travel at least 60% of the time. Being able to fly and drive a vehicle is a must. Must be able to walk, sit, and stand up to 8 hours a day. Must be able to lift to 40 pounds occasionally. Requires sitting, viewing, and utilizing computer equipment, keyboarding, listening, and speaking skills. Must be available to work during days, evenings and weekends and be available for emergency calls 24/7/365.
