Managing Attorney

As a managing attorney on our team, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a leadership role, overseeing the work of attorneys who are providing legal representation to Progressive or clients. As a manager, you’ll also make employment decisions, handle performance management, monitor the department budget, make compensation decisions, and develop employees.
Must-have Qualifications
- Juris doctorate required
- Admission to the bar in Florida with a minimum five years of general/auto civil litigation experience
- This position may require a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
Preferred Skills
- Proven leadership qualities, such as communication, critical thinking, motivating others, and driving quality, with ability to execute organizational strategy
- Demonstrated prior or current leadership development and/or prior leadership experience
- Experience handling all aspects of litigation, including expert discovery and trial, in moderate to high complexity lawsuits
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of medical and other technical information
- Thorough understand and excellent working knowledge of applicable laws and rules (e.g., evidence, civil procedure, trial practice, and tort)
Compensation
- $148,580 - $174,800/year
- Gainshare bonus up to 50% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
