THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE SPLITTING TIME WORKING AT HOME AND IN THE OFFICE 

Summary

This position provides legal support to specific U.S. landside business units which portfolio of services includes e-commerce, cold chain, depot, warehousing and distribution as well as dray, middle-mile and last mile trucking.  This position will primarily focus on commercial customer and procurement contracting to include real estate, but is also expected to take on additional tasks that may be assigned to from time to time, including regulatory work, litigation management and strategic projects.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate and manage customer logistics contracts and vendor procurement contracts. 
  • Support real estate lease negotiation and management.
  • Support risk management and safety team initiatives.
  • Participate in strategic transactions and help drive growth strategy.
  • Conduct legal research and provide legal advice on key issues affecting the company. 
  • Become familiar with laws and regulations affecting the company including in the areas of DOT, air quality, and privacy and assist the company with compliance in these areas.

Assist With the Following Tasks

  • Contracts and associated commercial and procurement opportunities.
  • Compliance matters.
  • Corporate governance.
  • Litigation.
  • Other compliance matters (regulatory and internal).

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum five years of experience as an attorney.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong commercial contracting experience.
  • Logistics industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong references.
  • Current active Bar license.

Pay Range

$175,000-$205,000* depending on level and years of experience 

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.  The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
