Job Summary and Qualifications

The Contract Administrator is responsible for drafting physician and referral source contracts and other hospital related contracts, obtaining appropriate internal approvals and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Generates reports and uses tracking systems for the purpose of tracking the contracts inventory at assigned facilities and the respective HCA division. Maintains and ensures the integrity of the Physician Contract Management database for the respective HCA division and ensures the database system is used to produce all physician contracts within the respective HCA division.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

  • Draft, revise and monitor to execution all physician or referral source contracts for professional or administrative services and other hospital related contracts in the respective HCA division utilizing the centralized contracting and approval workflow processes. 
  • Coordinate with facility contract administration from pre-approval of concepts through final execution of the contracts. 
  • Maintain the accuracy of the contracts database, reporting and filing systems for all physician contracts in the respective HCA division. 
  • Ensure contracts and supporting documentation are in compliance with policy and procedures and regulatory requirements. 
  • Interface and communicate with various parties including but not limited to, facility administration, division leadership, department leadership, legal counsel, providers, valuation firms, accounting and corporate departments. 
  • Educate facility contract administration regarding the centralized contracting process and policy requirements. 
  • Ensure the necessary signatures or approvals are obtained on the contract and other required documents in a timely manner. 
  • Disseminate the contract as necessary to the parties and pertinent internal departments.
  • Lead weekly reviews with facilities to discuss new and current contracts in process as well as contracts that are due for renewal. 
  • Coordinate the request for and maintenance of independent fair market value reports, as required. 
  • Perform other duties at the direction of Senior Operations Counsel, as needed for the contract centralization processes. 

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Paralegal preferred
  • Paralegal Certificate preferred 
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience required, including physician contracting experience in a law firm or healthcare organization
