Legal.io is working with an organization seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for a full-time, direct hire position. The ideal candidate will be able to handle a high-volume work load, and also support on initiatives to streamline processes within the department. This is a fully remote position.

Work to be done:

Primary contact for Legal Department project intake through the Legal ticketing system and email inbox workflows.

Contract generation, issue spotting, redlining, tracking, signature management, and filing of a high volume of contracts with varying complexity (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, ICAs, etc.).

Light negotiation and discussion of legal terms with third parties over email and phone.

Escalation of non-standard contract terms and legal issues to counsel and senior staff.

Calibration of contract terms to standard company policies, positions, and operations, and coordination across departments to ensure compliance and adherence to contract terms.

Miscellaneous administrative projects to assist Legal, Finance/Accounting, and Operations Departments, as needed.

Development and maintenance of Legal Department standard operating procedure guidelines and manuals.

Development of training materials and facilitation of staff training on the company’s Legal policies and processes.

Development of internal business-facing guidance and resources for the company’s internal websites, team sites, and wikis.

Assistance with implementation and maintenance of Legal Department systems and technologies.

Candidates would be a good fit if they have:

Ability to pivot between high-volume administrative tasks, ongoing contract review, and long-term projects.

Precise attention to detail.

Interest in automation and simplification of Legal Department workflows.

Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work with all levels of company staff, including C-suite.
