Contract Management Consultant - Provider/hospital, GPO, CSC, Distributor/Wholesaler

Responsible for leading all aspects of the processes related to contract creation including drafting, negotiation, redlining, executing, contract activation, and contract maintenance for Hospital Contracts in support of the client's Professional Hospital business, along with future business strategies. This includes agreements with GPO’s, CSC’s, Distributors & military resale. Responsible for leading our partnership with vendors and contracted customers in support of the client's Professional business ensuring execution excellence & liaison with Sales & Marketing to deliver on business objectives. Reporting/Analytics/Metrics Key Responsibilities: • Responsible for negotiating, drafting, revising, and/or implementing compliant Master Agreements, associated amendments, and notices (contract maintenance) working in partnership with client's legal team. • Lead and facilitate successful completion of GPO RFIs/RFPs (bids) in partnership with Sales & Marketing and other client functions as needed to retain, or grow our professional sales in line with business objectives. • Input contract information (as applicable) into the internal contracting system/location; keep track of contract terms & other requirements • Administer contracts by developing, reviewing, and implementing contract amendments and notices in partnership with Sales & Marketing, and act as the liaison when necessary, between the Customer, sales & marketing, Legal, Regulatory, & Heath Care Compliance. Route final contracts for signature to all parties • Serve as the primary point of contact to answer questions related to the contract, resolve issues as appropriate, lead the redline process, and collaborate and influence Customers & internal partners as necessary, to review & analyze contractual terms and conditions to achieve acceptable language. • Maintains SOPs and Work Instructions, metrics, & templates while adhering to document retention policies. • Proactively partner with 3rd party vendors in managing membership rosters, chargebacks processing & contract management; inclusive of sales reporting & other KPIs to optimize performance. • Proactively find opportunities to drive and implement process improvements or streamlined policies that will positively impact internal efficiencies or enhance the customer experience. • Partner with Finance, Customer Development, and/or Supply Chain as needed to support the needs of Hospital Customers. • Lead and/or actively support as a team member, other Professional projects and initiatives for our hospital business and/or other areas of client’s professional business.

Qualifications: • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred • Minimum of eight (8) years total overall business experience in contracting, finance, business development, consulting, sales, or related areas required • 2 years of contracting and/or experience negotiating in the healthcare industry is strongly preferred • Strong verbal, written & presentation skills required • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & advanced skills in MS Excel required. • Demonstrated ability to align the goals of multiple partners while maintaining a customer focus to deliver successful outcomes is required Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as organizational and prioritization skills is required • Able to assume personal ownership and accountability for facilitating/leading the accomplishment of objectives is required. • Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task is required. • Able to articulate business situations clearly and accurately, and address and resolve issues by communicating difficult information thoughtfully and respectfully is required. • Detail orientation while being able to provide critical thinking and perspectives, including the ability to see the big picture & align with business priorities is required • Experience collaborating with and aligning multiple business functions to drive positive business outcomes required. • Experience in leading departmental, and/or cross-company/cross-functional projects is preferred. • Able to constructively challenge the current state of affairs by surfacing and influencing ideas for new approaches and improvement is required. • Ability to manage day-to-day position in conjunction with additional initiatives & assignments is required.
