_ We have exclusively partnered with a global leader in additive manufacturing looking to add another attorney to the legal team. The role involves delivering legal services to internal clients and serving as an advisor on corporate and regulatory compliance issues. Corporate matters are primarily focused on the Americas Region, while compliance matters span globally. Join a highly collaborative team in office 2 days per week, work from home 3 days per week.

Compliance Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and assistance on trade compliance (like import classification, valuation, and country of origin determinations, export regulations, sanctions), legal compliance (such as Anti-corruption and Code of Conduct), and other regulatory compliance (like FAR/DFARS, EAR, ITAR).
  • Develop and manage business processes to ensure compliance.
  • Implement and conduct training sessions for our compliance programs.
  • Generate reports for management on how well the company's compliance programs are operating and their effectiveness.

General/Corporate Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal Business Partners to support the Sales Function, especially with government customers.
  • Assist other corporate functions like Business Development.
  • Handle M& A matters, including agreements, transactions, and post-merger integration.
  • Plan and facilitate training workshops.
  • Act as a regular point of contact for a dynamic legal/business team.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of proven experience in general corporate legal matters, focusing on regulatory and corporate compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience of 2+ years in negotiating sales contracts with the US government.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFARS, customs, CoC, and Anti-Corruption.

The Ideal Candidate Has

  • Basic understanding of Import/Export documentation and product valuations, conflict minerals, HSR, CFIUS, and privacy.
  • Experience with HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule).
  • Knowledge of economic sanctions, export classifications, FTA, Importer Security Filing, Additional Carrier Requirements (ISF), and export and import classifications.
