Government and Commercial Contracts Attorney – SaaS and Telecommunications

As a Government and Commercial Contracts Attorney with expertise in SaaS products, telecommunications (including preferably e911 regulations), you will be a vital member of our Everbridge legal team. You will play a key role in ensuring that our business operates within regulatory compliance, while also providing strategic counsel for our government contracts and commercial relationships.

What you'll do;

  • Government Contracting: Lead government contracting efforts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and subcontracts with federal, state, and local government agencies.
  • Navigate the complexities of government procurement laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Assist with compliance requirements for handling CUI information.
  • Manage a GSA program and assure compliance.
  • Telecommunications Expertise: Offer legal counsel on telecommunications law, including regulatory compliance, spectrum licensing, and industry-specific agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with e911 regulations, including the provision of emergency services through our SaaS products.
  • SaaS Contract Negotiations: Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS contracts, licenses, and agreements with commercial clients, ensuring they meet legal and business objectives.
  • Provide guidance on contract terms, pricing, intellectual property rights, and data security.
  • Provide guidance on an internet distribution sales channel through a partner’s on-line market place.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Develop and implement compliance programs to ensure adherence to industry-specific regulations and government contract requirements.
  • Identify legal risks associated with SaaS products and government contracts and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, government agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal matters and support business goals.

What you'll bring;

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the state bar.
  • 5+ years of legal experience, with a strong focus on SaaS contracts, telecommunications law (including preferably e911 regulations), and government contracting.
  • Proven track record of negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts and government agreements.
  • Deep knowledge of telecommunications industry regulations and government procurement laws.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
