Meta seeks a highly motivated attorney to serve as product counsel to the company's integrity and support teams. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing and supportive legal team that advises the company through some of the industry's most cutting-edge, high-profile, and sensitive legal issues. Full-time position.

Lead Counsel, Product Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate global products, data practices, and special initiatives for the purpose of providing comprehensive legal advice to client teams, and develop subject matter expertise across product areas to support legal team colleagues
  • Guide product, engineering, and operations teams through risk mitigation strategies for integrity and support products, and help ensure compliance with applicable regulations across privacy, consumer protection, online safety, and other domains
  • Collaborate with privacy, policy, communications, and other internal partners on cross-functional initiatives

Minimum Qualifications:

  • J.D. (or foreign equivalent) with membership in at least one U.S. state bar
  • 5+ years of legal experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with mobile application, social networking, or other Internet companies
  • Product counseling experience
  • In-house experience
  • Experience with international legal requirements, especially those related to privacy/data protection
  • Experience working effectively across multiple jurisdictions and time zones
