Description

Work hard, have fun, and make history with Amazon’s Legal team. We are looking for a smart and motivated individual to provide administrative assistance to our Amazon Legal Operations and Litigation group. We support various functions of legal operations including administrative services, notary, records management, and continuing legal education. Responsibilities include providing front line support for our team, the intake and routing of physical and digital mail, drafting weekly status reports, assisting in the maintenance of our document and matter management system, conducting invoice reviews, and other general administration and project management to support Legal Operations and Litigation teams where needed.

The successful candidate will build strong relationships with stakeholders to manage operational functions for Legal and possess the ability to work efficiently and independently. This person will manage a high volume of tasks and projects with minimal guidance; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround; take effective action without knowing the full picture; think creatively and be proactive in solving problems that affect people within Operations or other related groups. The candidate will also be client service oriented, organized, have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, and have the flexibility to switch gears as necessary. The candidate must exercise a high level of professionalism, integrity, discretion in handling confidential information, and the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products, including Sharepoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Strong written and oral communication skillsComfort with learning new programs and software
  • Desire and aptitude for learning new concepts and thinking big to solve problems
  • Legal administrative experience is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
