Overview

This Senior Operations Specialist position is responsible for the handling of legal documentation related to clients of Legacy SVB (a division of FCB) Commercial and Private Bank. Determines the enforceability of orders, searches systems of record, and takes proper action to document and execute orders within service level standards. Escalates complex requests to peers, management, and counsel as needed. Aids management with special projects such as reporting and process improvements. Serves as a leader for less experienced specialists on the team through knowledge in their area of work.

This is a hybrid position that will require the individual to come into the office at least 2 days a week.


Responsibilities
  • Operational Support - Performs the activities necessary to fulfill legal orders and other requests including but not limited to data input; processing; and quality review. Some tasks need to be completed in person, so office visits are required on a rotational and as-needed basis (approximately 25% of the time).
  • Legal Orders/Service – Analyzes and interprets time-sensitive requests and accurately completes within service level standards, including but not limited to financial transactions, requestor response and notification to clients when applicable.
  • Account Control Agreements – Provides operational support for implementation and execution on accounts with 3rd party control agreements, including account maintenance and creditor onboarding.
  • Documentation - Handles standard documentation and files associated with daily activities, which may include processing, reviewing, or distributing materials. Maintains and updates department records either physically or within a system.
  • Process Improvements - Streamlines the workflow for other associates within the business unit through operational activities. Identifies, communicates, and makes recommendations to address process inefficiencies.
  • Business Expertise - Provides knowledge in area of work. Researches and maintains strong knowledge of any laws, regulations, and policies that affect specific job duties to produce work that is accurate, efficient, and compliant. Utilizes product, system, or process familiarity to resolve problems and handle customer requests.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 0 years of experience in Operations or Customer Service OR High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in Operations or Customer Service
  • Skill(s): Knowledge of Bank operations and regulatory or legal environments

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of legal orders such as garnishments; levies, subpoenas
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
