Here is your opportunity to do cutting edge legal work and make history with Amazon’s legal team!

We are looking for a talented attorney to support our Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) program within Amazon’s rapidly growing and evolving transportation and technology businesses. You will be an integral part of the business teams you support, serving as counsel on a broad range of matters relating to the AFP program, including advising on partner relations, driver experience and safety, regulatory and compliance issues (including transportation, labor and employment, competition, consumer protection, and privacy), contract negotiations, and pre-litigation dispute resolution. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways, and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

As you will be working with central business teams that develop and manage programs that are leveraged globally, some travel, domestic and international, may be required.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of legal experience
  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
  • Ability to work effectively and demonstrate sound judgment in fast-paced, ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work independently while contributing successfully to cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical and computer skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
