The Opportunity The Senior Manager, Contract Management will report into the Sr Director of Ads Business Development and will lead the day to day management of all contracts and related processes within Samsung Ads. The Contract Manager plays a critical role in managing the negotiations and life cycle of all the organizations contracts. They will work with local and global stakeholders to carefully analyze changes in the environment, regulations and compliance requirements as well as the benefits and potential risks for the organization of each agreement we initiate, hold, or terminate with external parties. The candidate must be organized, detailed oriented, flexible, transparent, and possess the ability to establish priorities with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have knowledge of the AdTech ecosystem. This candidate will be self-motivated, and solutions-focused with an ability to unravel internal complexity and navigate a large organization. The position will also require excellent project management and cross-functional communication skills (working closely with Legal, Privacy, Finance, and Operations). Key Responsibilities and Expectations Manage new and existing partnerships & internal agreements:

  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, & Product Managers during partner on-boarding assessments
  • Manage the on-boarding process of new partners
  • Inform all impacted regional legal counsels of points of interest in the partnership agreements
  • Ensure contracts are closed by following up with relevant parties

Monitor changes in territory regulations and expansion to new territory:

  • Keep watch of data privacy regulation changes in existing territories to accurately modify sections of contracts needing amendments
  • Work with local legal and the Global Privacy Office to determine all sections of applicable agreements that would need amendments

Manage Partnerships

  • Assess on an annual basis existing partnerships based on knowledge of existing relationships, cost to maintain relationship, and value to the business
  • Ensure partnership termination is done in compliance with contractual obligations (e.g., data retention, clearance, ...)

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in business or other relevant academic background
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in commercial transactions, contract drafting, reviewing and negotiating
  • Prior data security, data privacy regulation (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA) preparedness experience with MSAs, SOWS, procurement agreements, etc.
  • Experience with managing service providers, vendors, etc. for technology companies and compliance with new requirements
  • Previous large law firm training, or in-house counsel experience with tech companies and/or clients
