Description

Amazon’s legal team is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support worldwide teams responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience through pricing, promotions, and visual innovation. The attorney will provide legal leadership on product/service launches, regulatory issues, and compliance-related initiatives.

Key job responsibilities

  • Support business leaders as lead counsel on product and feature launches
  • Counsel on regulatory and compliance matters
  • Provide day-to-day, customer-focused advice
  • Handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries
  • Infrequent travel required

Basic Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
  • 5+ years of legal experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in product counseling
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
