The Role:

We are seeking a LNG Contract Manager to be based in the company's New York headquarters. We are entrepreneurial, fast- moving, and motivated by a desire to change the way that energy and electricity are delivered around the world. We are looking for a motivated, highly experienced individual with shared beliefs and passion to come and help drive the journey.

As an LNG Contract Manager , you will be responsible for providing support to our contract management team, aiding in the drafting, reviewing, and administration of contracts. This role serves as a vital link in our Trading & Optimization group, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with our commercial team, legal team, and various departments. You will play a key role in managing vendor relationships, and monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance and safeguard company interests. Your contributions will be instrumental in optimizing our contract management processes, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be essential in achieving operational efficiency in contract execution.

What you will do:

  • Management: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts related to LNG purchases and sales, natural gas supply, power generation, and associated services.
  • Administration: Ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, and obligations. Maintain accurate contract records and documentation.
  • Support: Assist the commercial team in negotiations with suppliers, vendors, and partners to optimize terms and conditions.
  • Assessment : Identify potential risks in contracts and propose mitigation strategies to protect company interests.
  • Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers. Monitor vendor performance against contract terms.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on contract status, performance metrics, and compliance for management review.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, chartering, legal, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless contract execution and fulfillment.
  • Resolution: Assist in resolving contract disputes and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve contract management processes, tools, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Law, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in contract management, commercial negotiations, commercial operations, risk or related field.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and management
  • Experience in commodities and/or credit a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suiteExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex contractual terms and financial data.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
