The Product team uses creativity, insights, and operational excellence to steer our product vision across Snap. Our designers, data scientists, and product managers work in a highly collaborative environment to build the products and experiences that unite our community in new and unique ways.

We’re looking for a Director, Trust and Safety to join our Product team at Snap Inc.

What you'll do:

  • Develop the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Trust and Safety and anti-abuse initiatives across Snapchat
  • Build alignment across the company on the team’s vision with leadership and executives
  • Define goals and own performance against key business metrics for Trust and Safety proactively drive accountability towards those goals
  • Evolve continuously — constantly improve our ability to identify ways to proactively identify and prevent abuse, make it easier for our community to report abuse, and easier for our team of moderators to help protect Snapchatters
  • Drive the organization’s Trust and Safety roadmaps and execution end-to-end — from planning processes to design to development and through launch, authoring excellent documentation and sharing insights and results throughout the company
  • Manage and mentor a team of high performing PM’s on Trust and Safety, continuously raising the bar on their performance and helping them grow

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Highly impact-focused, with a demonstrated history of leading teams to deliver concrete results
  • Detail oriented manager who can dive deep into every project on the team’s roadmap when needed
  • Outstanding communication skills and extremely comfortable conveying complex topics to a diverse array of stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate a complex product area and gain buy-in from executives
  • Extremely proactive with the ability to initiate and implement complex projects with minimal guidance
  • Ability to collaborate and build trust with engineers, designers, data science and other cross-functional teammates
  • Ability to think creatively and approach problems with system-level thinking

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 10+ years of product management at a consumer or enterprise technology company
  • 5+ years of hiring, managing, and coaching high performing teams
  • 5+ years of experience and subject matter expertise in Trust & Safety, Integrity, Spam & Abuse, or related product areas

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ experience in a related field (legal/policy, data analysis, consulting, software engineering)
  • Hands on experience with data analysis or financial planning at a consumer technology company
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related fields
  • A passion for Snapchat!

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

  • Zone A (CA, WA, NYC): The base salary range for this position is $294,000 - $441,000 annually
  • Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $279,000 - 419,000 annually
  • Zone C: The base salary range for this position is $250,000 - 375,000 annually

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs
