Duration: 5-month contract Location: Remote

Description:

• Provide practical legal advice to all levels of the business
• Review and redline contracts with clients, vendors and independent contractors
• Create regular status reports regarding progress on projects
• Analyze contracts to ensure they comply with state and federal laws and regulations
• Draft contracts, such as employment contracts and non-compete agreements
• Draft and review policies
• Assist with data privacy compliance; become familiar with GDPR, CCPA and other data privacy laws and regulations
• Assist with paperwork needed by regulatory bodies
• Assist with ethics and compliance programs
• Perform legal research
• Aid in the documentation and organization of corporate practices and policies
• Assist in the proper classification of workers as employee’s vs independent contractors

Requirements:

• Legal Research
• Legal Writing
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Exceptional attention to detail

Preferred

• IT Security
• Juris Doctor

Eligibility Requirements:

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
