Consilio’s client—a home improvement retail corporation that sells, rents out, and installs various household items—is in search of an attorney who will advise the client’s customer service department on resolving customer claims. As a member of the company’s Pre-Litigation Department, the attorney will strive to resolve customer claims before they reach the litigation stage. To this end, the attorney will regularly read through fact patterns and provide advice based on them. The attorney will also regularly draft correspondence to customers or their attorneys, or advise customer service on how to draft such correspondence. (Any claims that do reach the litigation stage will be handled by a separate team of attorneys.)

The ideal candidate for this role will be an attorney with either solid litigation experience or substantial pre-litigation claims experience. Prior experience advising customer service departments is especially welcome. A broader consumer law background is a plus but not a requirement. Law license required (from any U.S. state).

This is a fully remote, contract role with a long-term anticipated duration (12+ months). 20-40 hours per week.

The anticipated pay rate range for this role is $65-95/hr, depending on experience level and qualifications. A specific rate of pay for a project will be discussed with you if it is determined that you are a potential fit for a role.
