About The Team

Workday’s Global Procurement Department is seeking a seasoned contracts manager who will be responsible for negotiating a high-volume of contracts across a wide range of categories including professional services, marketing, and technology. The Contracts Team operates on a global basis to support the Sourcing Managers and the business requestors in drafting and negotiating complex terms, including review of outside, non-standard agreements.

About The Role

The Contract Manager will communicate openly and forge close working relationships throughout our company and with vendors. Accuracy, speed and adaptability are essential attributes of a successful team member, as well as strong legal knowledge and advanced negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

 

  • Draft, review, negotiate and oversee inbound transactional matters for Workday
  • Analyze and interpret complex provisions in multi-party contracts to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Proactively deliver timely, pragmatic, and business-oriented advice to Workday’s various internal clients and stakeholders (serve as a partner of Sourcing in support of the business)
  • Work with internal operations teams to build scalable infrastructure for supporting rapidly growing domestic and international teams
  • Collaborate with procurement organization regarding improved ways to facilitate high volume transactions for clients
  • Serve as trusted and confident counsel to specified Workday business units to support commercial initiatives and internal compliance

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience drafting and negotiating vendor contracts

Other Qualifications

 

  • Familiarity with CLM tools and transaction tracking systems
  • Strong understanding of contractual terms and business processes
  • Team player who can work well with Workday colleagues in technology, legal, finance, marketing, human resources and other functions
  • Willingness to identify and act on ways he or she may assist others to accomplish corporate goals
  • Demonstrates passion for solving problems and adding value to the company with integrity
  • Committed personal growth and development by actively seeking feedback and responding with action
  • Strong communication and influence skills
  • Open and transparent in communications with all stakeholders – legal colleagues, management, internal business clients, auditors, regulators and others

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $94,400 USD - $141,600 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $89,700 USD - $179,400 USD
