Overview

The Legal Recruiting Specialist will support the New York Legal Recruiting Department with a variety of aspects related to the summer associate program and entry-level recruiting.

Responsibilities

Summer Associate Program:

 

  • Support the execution of the New York summer associate program with tasks relating to orientation, work assignments, and the summer associate review process.
  • Organize and attend summer program social events, including sending calendar invitations and tracking RSVPs.
  • Conduct check-in meetings with summer associates and respond to any enquiries.

 

Entry-Level Recruiting:

 

  • Schedule callback interviews and conduct follow-up for offerees.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of offer receptions.
  • Support the early interviewing and on-campus recruiting process for assigned schools.
  • Coordinate 1L outreach initiatives, including 1L receptions, to market the firm and proactively engage with students.
  • Share new ideas and insights relating to recruiting processes, marketing, and event planning.
  • Partner with law school career services and student group organizations to host a variety of events.
  • Assist the Director of Entry-Level Recruiting with firmwide initiatives and special projects.  
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Represent the firm through membership at local legal recruiting organization (NYCRA) and stay up to date with evolving developments in the legal recruiting industry.

Continually looks to streamline recruitment processes for greatest efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • Three - five years of legal recruiting or attorney professional development experience at a mid-sized or large law firm, career services or other professional services industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of computer programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with database programs (e.g., LawCruit, Symplicity).
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to recognize confidential information and to maintain confidentiality of such information.
  • Ability to work efficiently independently as well as within a team.
  • Highly motivated with strong initiative.

The anticipated pay range for this role is Boston/DC: $72,500 - $108,000 which represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the starting salary range at the time of posting. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data and consideration of internal equity.  

Working Conditions

This position requires hybrid on-site presence as an essential function of the role. Consistent and predictable on-site presence is required for ongoing business continuity, professional development and effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
