Overview:

Story is an emerging growth cannabis company that is vertically integrated with operations in multiple states, that is continuing to expand through both organic growth and M&A activity. We are looking for an Associate General Counsel who will report directly to the General Counsel and will assist in handling and managing a variety of legal matters.

Responsibilities:

• Review, revise, negotiate and maintain active and potential contracts with third parties.
• Manage corporate governing documents for all entities within the large corporate structure.
• Provide legal support and guidance to various departments within the organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Track and maintain licenses in good standing with applicable local and state requirements.
• Maintain legal SOPs and entity structure charts to be shared with other departments within the organization.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
• Must be admitted to a state bar and in good standing
• 5+ years of corporate law expertise within a law firm or in-house
• Analytical with strong verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to provide high quality and timely work product in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment, with demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently as needed
