The Associate Director of Project Management is responsible for high level management, delegation, and execution of day-to-day e-discovery project tasks, reporting to the Senior Director. Additionally, the role is tasked with developing strategic initiatives critical to the ongoing development and improvement of the Project Management Team. The Associate Director is also responsible for the oversight and leadership of multiple project teams and tasked with developing client relationships and providing support to our Global Revenue Organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Lead by example and with humility;
  • Lead a culture of continuous improvement;
  • Provide leadership and oversight of multiple project teams, including managing team utilization, resource planning training needs and serving as a point of escalation;
  • Manage client facing issues, and escalate to leadership, if necessary;
  • Work with managers to identify and communicate team objectives;
  • Provide training, feedback and support for the development of your team;
  • Motivate to create an environment where employees thrive;
  • Articulate short and long term goals and evaluate the performance of your team against them and core competencies;
  • Identify and manage resource needs, balancing activity across the team;
  • Interview prospective candidates and assist with their onboarding;
  • Promote and coordinate team building activities;
  • Identify and facilitate growth opportunities for colleagues;
  • Delivering n team and individual SLA’s;
  • Define, negotiate, articulate, implement and monitor quality standards on all project deliverables, achieving quality targets.

Management of Projects

  • Create and maintain the project schedule, which defines activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, duration and associated resource requirements;
  • Plan and manage internal and external project communications (with client and internal team), ensuring effective exchange of project information and deliverables;
  • Create, improve and achieve client forecasting, tracking and project budget requirements;

Sales Support

  • Knowledgeable about and able to speak competently of Consilio's service offerings;
  • Develop strategic external relationships through participation and presentation at industry events, publication of articles, membership in relevant thought leadership groups, and similar activities;
  • Participate/conduct business development activities with existing and new clients such as participating in sales presentations, building personal relationships with potential clients;
  • Serve as a point for client contact on incoming projects and industry inquiries as necessary;
  • Assist with drafting customized protocols and other non-standard operating procedures for MSA clients or clients with ongoing and continuous projects.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree
  • Minimum 5 years in the litigation support / legal industry;
  • Demonstrable experience of ‘Leadership Responsibilities’;
  • 3 years experience using the Relativity platform;
  • Willingness to travel domestically;
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple, concurrent projects involving cross-functional teams within budgetary and schedule constraints;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client expectations and maintain client satisfaction;
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to anticipate client needs;
  • The ability to confront unexpected problems quickly and effectively;
  • Strong teamwork, communication (written and oral), client management, and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project teams, including teams of supporting project managers.
