The Nebraska Department of Justice / Nebraska Attorney General’s Office is currently seeking applicants for the positions of Assistant Attorney General in each of the following Bureaus:

• Office of the Solicitor General
• Criminal Prosecution Division
• Consumer Protection Bureau
• Transportation Bureau
• General Counsel

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an ABA-accredited law school
• License to practice law in Nebraska or a clear ability to be licensed in Nebraska by motion
• At least one year of experience in practice or as a judicial clerk
• Excellent legal writing skills
• Demonstrated work ethic

Preferred Qualifications:

• Judicial clerkship experience
• Oral advocacy experience
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in the relevant position

Salary commensurate with comparable state agency positions and candidate experience. Full-time state benefits available. The Assistant Attorney General will work from the Nebraska Department of Justice's office located at 1221 N Street in Lincoln.
