LHH is looking for an IP Legal Assistant at a law firm in Detroit as an IP, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our Intellectual Property practice. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate closely with attorneys and clients, contributing to the efficient operation of our IP department.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting attorneys with patent, trademark, and copyright filings
• Managing the intake and organization of IP-related documents and correspondence
• Conducting research on intellectual property matters, including patent and trademark searches
• Drafting legal documents, including patent and trademark applications, responses to office actions, and correspondence with clients and government agencies
• Maintaining electronic and physical IP files with meticulous attention to detail
• Coordinating communication between attorneys, clients, and external stakeholders
• Supporting attorneys in the preparation for intellectual property litigation, including document review and trial preparation
• Assisting with docketing and maintaining deadlines for IP matters
• Providing administrative support as needed, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and handling phone inquiries

Salary range $65,000 - $80,000 with benefits
