Job Summary: As Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing expert guidance on the legal implications of operational business matters to various departments within our organization, including marketing, engineering, and supply chain. You'll work closely with senior management to manage corporate activities, protect our legal interests, and ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and interpret legal documents related to operational activities and transactions.
• Oversee operational field support matters, including shipyard and engineering issues, drilling contracts, and dispute resolution.
• Provide counsel to senior management on legal implications and risks associated with operational decisions.
• Participate in the development of company policies, procedures, and business strategies while ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
• Represent the organization before courts, government agencies, and regulatory authorities as needed.
• Coordinate with outside law firms and manage legal budgets effectively.
• Review corporate practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Law degree from an accredited institution and license to practice law in relevant jurisdiction.
• 6+ years of legal experience in oilfield services, maritime, drilling, or related fields.
• Proficiency in legal research, analysis, and writing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with international operations and transactions.
• Proven ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Latin America work experience
• Portuguese speaker is a huge plus
