About The Role

LendingClub is seeking a talented and experienced individual for the position of Sr Compliance Manager. This role will support the oversight of the development, maintenance, and enhancements of consumer lending products and investor operations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate extraordinary communication skills and attention to detail, with a deep understanding of laws, rules and regulations that govern consumer credit. Additionally, the successful candidate will have the ability to work directly with business units and team partners to understand the needs to properly manage compliance risks associated with consumer lending and proactively recommend solutions and enhancements.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with the ongoing assessment of all regulatory risks related to consumer lending, including identifying gaps in controls, highlighting areas of highest risk, and developing appropriate risk mitigation strategies
  • Support the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and other documented measures to formally set forth the principles and practices of regulatory compliance related to lending.
  • Work with business leaders and management to socialize lending compliance principles and practices and assist with developing procedures, systems, and processes to execute policy requirements (i.e., Lending Compliance Advisory)
  • Assist with the development of regulation-based training and targeted role-based training covering the laws, regulations, and policy requirements related to lending and investor operations
  • Ensure material compliance issues identified by any means and through any source related to lending are recorded, tracked, and reported to ensure their appropriate and timely resolution after Legal has to identified new or changed laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance related to lending compliance and work with business management to operationalize requirements


About You

  • 6+ years of banking or financial services experience, primarily in compliance, risk management and/or audit functions
  • 4+ or more years of direct experience in lending compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study; or equivalent work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of consumer protection laws and regulations and the associated risks and internal controls needed to mitigate those risks
  • Experience working with federal and/or state regulatory agencies or examiners
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence decisions and drive change
  • Self-starter with ability to think independently, take ownership, and drive initiatives to resolution
  • Solid analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and rapid changes

Work Location

Lehi, UT

We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are in-office Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Time Zone Requirements

Primarily MT

Travel Requirements

Monthly/quarterly/as needed travel to San Francisco/Boston/New York
