Legal.io is working with a leading Insurance company seeking a Paralegal, Real Estate and M&A transactions. This is a full-time, fully remote position for 6-months

Role Responsibilities:

You will be supporting two deal attorneys.

• Transactions paralegal with an experience emphasis on Real Estate Transactions, but experience in M&A and Investments as well to assist on transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leases, licenses, and property management.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and editing legal documents, contracts, and agreements. Variety of Real Estate and M&A agreements. This includes purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and easements.
• Provide support on due diligence efforts for property acquisitions, as well as in drafting correspondence and legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support legal cases and projects.
• Organize and maintain legal documents, records, and electronic filing systems.
• Manage legal calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate attorney activities, including tracking of relevant deadlines.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure proper documentation and administration of real estate transactions.
• Assist in due diligence efforts for transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
• Coordinate document production and discovery for litigation matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal support as needed.

Experience:

• 6+ years of experience with real estate transactions, M&A experience is a strong nice to have
• Must have experience with leases, closing binders, etc.

Technology Requirements:

• Onit Enterprise Legal Management, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and all Microsoft Suite; Counter parties on M&A side usually use IntraLink or Box

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills, including well developed professional written communications;
• Ability to support EST timezone

Role Details:

• Anticipated Start Date : mid-May 2024
• Schedule : 40 hours / week
• Duration: 6-months
• Pay Rate : $45/hr - $60/hr ($90k - $120k annualized)
• Location : Remote - US
