Job Description

The Export Compliance Manager is a member of Intel's Americas Export team, reporting to the Americas Export Director. Leveraging expertise in the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), this individual plays an important role in managing and sustaining Intel's export compliance program in the Americas region.

The successful candidate will help drive Intel's export compliance program across the Americas region. The individual is passionate about export compliance and thrives in a dynamic environment. As a member of the Americas Export team, the individual will collaborate with other trade compliance team members and interact with business leaders, industry and government officials, and legal teams to align on Intel's export strategies in the Americas region.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

 

  • Analyze EAR and ITAR regulations and design policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance by Intel's business units in the Americas region.
  • Recommend and drive modifications to the Americas export compliance program.
  • Function as an export compliance subject matter expert, assisting the Classification and Licensing teams to deploy solutions.
  • Advise business stakeholders on applicability of EAR and ITAR requirements to their activities.
  • Develop and conduct export compliance trainings to business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with regional export teams to develop strategic solutions to Intel's global export activities.
  • Partner with the Global Government Affairs team to monitor and evaluate legislative and regulatory changes impacting Intel's business.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • 9+ years of export compliance experience with a proven track record of developing policies, procedures, and controls
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience applying EAR and ITAR regulations to international business activities

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Master's degree
  • Excellent writing skills, including executive level communications with strong ability to simplify complex export compliance requirements for business audiences.
  • Experience functioning in an Americas trade compliance role
  • Experience with OFAC sanctions and export technology controls

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Washington, California: $159,896.00-$255,416.00

  • Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
