About The Role

Reporting to the Director of Regional Compliance, We're looking for a Senior Compliance Manager to support our US operations. This is a hybrid position and can be seated at our offices in Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA.

This is an exciting position within our regional compliance team where you will oversee and manage all aspects of regulatory compliance for our US business. You will be responsible for developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures, conducting regulatory mapping and risk assessments, including AML, monitoring regulatory changes, and providing guidance to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations. We are looking for someone with extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, excellent analytical skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work cross-functionally with all levels of staff.

You Will

  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify areas of potential non-compliance and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor changes in regulations and industry standards and update compliance policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance-related matters, including regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review and assess the effectiveness of internal controls and procedures related to compliance.
  • Investigate compliance violations and develop corrective action plans to address any issues identified.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings as required by relevant authorities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries and audits and coordinate responses as needed.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in compliance to continuously improve the organization's compliance program.

You Have

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a more senior leadership role.
  • Expertise in relevant regulatory requirements such as AML, Consumer Compliance, etc.
  • Experience interfacing and working with regulators, and ability to navigate multiple regulatory bodies along with business needs;
  • Ability and comfort working in white-space to create compliance frameworks and solutions
  • A record of operational leadership, able to both set strategy and work with teams to design and deliver on implementation
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) and/or CAMS are strongly preferred.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $144,000-$180,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
