You are a senior business professional with a wide range of expertise in the areas of project management, process development, change management, communications, and governance. This highly collaborative role is responsible for developing, executing, implementing, and monitoring programs, projects, and initiatives to align Legal Services people, processes, and technology.

What You Will Do

  • Manage complex projects of moderate to large size with cross functional work streams; provides recommendations for operational, process and service delivery enhancements that integrate technical solutions and business requirements to deliver innovative business solutions for Legal Services.
  • Work independently with LS stakeholders to lead and design process development; gather and define requirements and recommendations; develop process documentation, from concept to implementation; design and implement solutions; analyze current state processes and develop new ones to support effective department decision-making; establish an effective change network for dissemination information to impacted users.
  • Provide expert advice in operational lifecycle planning and development; support the assessment, design and implementation of programs that drive organizational strategy.
  • Develop and deploy Agile and Prosci-based plans for project planning and execution and the people side of change for projects of moderate to large size and complexity with cross functional work streams that involve changes to business processes, systems, and technology.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities including communications and training through compelling strategic presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage data collection methods and tools to support the assessment, recommendation, and prioritization of strategic development opportunities, maintenance, and identification of performance measures.
  • Coach and advise Legal Services stakeholders on ownership of legal systems and processes, drive standardization and increased sharing of best practices across the department.
  • Support effective operations, processes, culture, and information flow through the department; assist in the development of informational or training programs to build awareness and capability; coach and mentor staff.

Who You Are

Required:

  • University degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Economics, Law, Organizational Behavior, Psychology, Communications, Education).
  • 6+ years of related broad business experience; experience focused on large and/or transformational process change, and management is required. Digital transformations, system upgrades, migrations experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong and diverse communication skills; the ability to relate to lawyers and broader Legal Services community is essential.
  • Experience with technical writing and process development is required.
  • Graphic design skills are considered an asset. Demonstrated proficiency working with applications such as Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Power BI is an asset).
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve business issues using strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to embrace change, adapt processes, independently manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

Preferred

  • Project Management Professional designation with the ability to train others in project management is an asset.
  • Coaching Experience and/or certification is an asset.
  • PROSCI certified.

Physical Requirements Include But Are Not Limited To

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
