Your role at Baxter:

Reporting to the Global Director, Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Data Analytics, Automation and Digital Transformation (Corporate function), this role will work closely together in operating the proactive data analytics and monitoring elements of the company’s Legal and Compliance programs.

This position will be a major contributor to the strategic and operational design and expansion of the Baxter’s Compliance and Legal Data Analytics and Automation program and engage and work closely with our IT-based Global Enterprise Data teams.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Plan and execute the strategic roll out of Compliance and Legal in the Artificial Intelligence, analytics and process/controls automation space
  • Assist with AI use case opportunities for risk assessment, monitoring, data analytics and process automation for the Legal and E&C functions and design and implement use cases in partnership with the relevant IT teams
  • In coordination with the Director E&C, design, automate and perform a data driven legal and compliance risk assessment process, covering areas including ABAC, Trade Compliance, Anti-Trust, Privacy, Customer and Commercial Agreements, Investigations and Litigations etc. to identify/ evaluate internal and external legal and compliance risks to the company
  • Update Baxter’s Compliance Data Analytics Tableau based tool (CDA tool) with new Legal, E&C and Finance data sources/risk metrics per risks identified via risk assessment exercises
  • Expand the Data Analytics and Monitoring Program and processes over a wide range of E&C and Legal transactions and controls
  • Manage the data governance and change management related to the CDA tool by working with IT to proactively identify down-stream impact on tool due to changes in source data/systems (e.g., source system replacements, source system configuration changes, etc.)
  • Assist with the development of management dashboards to provide insight into the operational efficiency and risk profile of compliance and legal programs
  • Develop and update the compliance governance requirements and processes for new subject matters in coordination with the Director E&C

 

What you’ll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience with data analytics and data automation
  • Familiarity with technology platforms/programming for data analysis/automation
  • Advance capabilities in the space of emerging data analysis and process and data automation using Artificial Intelligence (AI), analytics and automation tools (e.g., Llama2, BluePrism, Alteryx, Power Automate, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience with engaging/managing a multi-functional team, including IT, towards the design, implementation, and maintenance of analytical tools (e.g., Tableau) to ensure accuracy and security of data
  • Ability to interpret rules and guidelines and to conceptualize policies, procedures, controls, and risk metrics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in project management

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $96,000 to $120,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
