Our client, a legal risk and analytics company, is looking for a Healthcare Attorney to join their team remotely.

This is a flexible, part time position, averaging 10-20 hours per week

This is a 6 month contract position with the possibility of extension or conversion

Responsibilities

• Develop “how-to”-type practical guidance for topics of interest to attorneys representing healthcare providers, hospitals and health systems, and Medicare and Medicaid managed care plans and ACOs.
• Experience advising clients about a wide range of health law issues, including provider recruiting and licensing, operational issues (e.g., governance, organizational structure, and compliance programs), healthcare fraud and abuse (e.g., anti-kickback, Stark, and FCA), and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and compliance is a must.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited U.S. law school and admission to at least one state bar
• At least five years of experience as a health lawyer representing clients in transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters
• Extensive legal content editing experience, such as with bar association magazines or journals, law firm client alerts or newsletters, or other substantive legal publications
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Ability to complete assigned projects by prescribed deadlines
• Comfortable working in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
