Description

Amazon's legal department is looking for a talented Legal Operations Program Manager to help lead our global outside counsel management programs. Primary responsibilities include owning our secondments program, organizing and leading best practices sharing and training sessions for law firms, managing important aspects of our law firm Preferred Partner Program, and helping to lead our diversity, equity, and inclusion programs with law firms. In addition to this, they will be supporting our outside counsel management programs and processes, process improvement and simplification, project and change management, data reporting and analysis, spend management, and other responsibilities as needed.

A successful candidate will be able to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment, communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing, manage high volumes of tasks and projects with little guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround, take effective action without knowing the whole picture, think creatively and strategically, exercise strong judgment, and be proactive and innovative in solving problems that affect customers. The candidate will also be customer-service oriented and have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, strong organizational skills, and the ability to easily switch gears. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, are essential.

Basic Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
