About The Team

Help us grow our Litigation team at Stripe!

Stripe strives to build the best products and services helping entrepreneurs around the world to grow their businesses. We work on complex technical and legal problems every day, and we’re seeking a highly motivated paralegal to support our team on pre-litigation, litigation, investigations, and insolvency issues for a wide variety of matters.

What you’ll do

This position is within Stripe’s Litigation team, which has responsibility for handling a wide-array of matters that touch on disputes, insolvency, litigation, arbitration, and other escalated issues. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, eager to learn and grow, and will be able to prioritize, juggle competing priorities, and be extremely responsive in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining excellent relationships with their team and internal clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide paralegal support for litigation and regulatory investigations, including fact investigations, issue analysis, discovery, and matter management
  • Assist with all facets of discovery, including legal hold implementation and the collection and production of documents
  • Play a key role in handling global small claims matters
  • Support the team’s overall matter management
  • Assist with proofs of claims or other filings for bankruptcy and insolvency matters
  • Help organize and maintain the team’s knowledge management resources
  • Assist with special projects as needed, with the ability to work in an ever-changing environment

Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate and/or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 4+ years of relevant litigation paralegal experience
  • Action and results-oriented, with the ability to demonstrate good judgment in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels
  • A positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and a desire to be part of a strong, supportive team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior in-house experience as a litigation paralegal

Working remotely at Stripe

A remote location, in most cases, is defined as being 35 miles (56 kilometers) or more from one of our offices. While you would be welcome to come into the office for team/business meetings, on-sites, meet-ups, and events, our expectation is you would regularly work from home rather than a Stripe office. Stripe does not cover the cost of relocating to a remote location. We encourage you to apply for roles that match the location where you currently or plan to live.

Pay and benefits

The annual US base salary range for this role is $97,700 - $146,600. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.

Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
