We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.

Senior Corporate Counsel 

Redwood Materials is in search of a dynamic attorney to join our team as Senior Corporate Counsel. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, Corporate, this pivotal role offers the opportunity to contribute to a range of legal matters and shape strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure operational excellence and drive the realization of strategic objectives. 

 Responsibilities will include: 

  • Provide legal guidance to the organization focusing on project finance, structured finance, corporate finance, other debt financing transactions and corporate governance.
  • Draft and negotiate a wide array of agreements, encompassing loan agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, guarantees, and project finance-related transaction documents.
  • Play a key role in strategic transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing arrangements, and joint ventures, collaborating both independently and alongside external legal counsel, to ensure seamless execution.
  • Leverage demonstrated expertise in project finance or corporate finance, encompassing the structuring and negotiation of complex financing arrangements, to drive support for large-scale projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Supervise due diligence efforts conducted internally or by third parties.
  • Collaborate with legal colleagues to facilitate customer relationships, negotiate agreements, and ensure post-execution compliance with contractual obligations.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in at least one state bar.
  • A minimum of 6 years of legal practice experience, preferably with in-house exposure.
  • Demonstrated expertise in US and global corporate finance law and transactional matters.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
