Position Summary

This individual will work within Supply Chain, a part of GMP Operations, and will primarily support Indirect Procurement for GMP manufacturing and new project/products.  Also, GMP activity as needed. Responsibilities include the development of processes, Purchase Order (PO) creation and management, cost analysis, and vendor management – in accordance with company policies and procedures. The position requires collaboration cross-functionally with various internal stakeholders to ensure effective, efficient, and timely material planning and inventory management as well as the support services for the operation.

The position requires in-depth knowledge of ERP systems in a Manufacturing/Supply Chain environment, a proven experience in GMP Supplier Quality management, strong analytical and advanced Excel skills with the ability to quickly analyze data to assist Department Managers  in their achievement of company goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers

  • Coordinate purchasing activities with other departments to maintain inventory at planned levels

  • Be a local subject matter expert in the procurement systems (Coupa & Microsoft D365)

  • Ensure procurement process is followed and contracts are loaded into ZIP system

  • Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; monitor approval of invoices for payment, receipt reconciliation and invoice discrepancies.

  • Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine compatibility with company objectives

  • Negotiate with suppliers on pricing and delivery times to manage cost of goods manufactured

  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with critical suppliers to drive value to elevate supplier performance, TCO, quality, and service

  • Review opportunities for new supply sources and suitability of materials offered

  • Identify potential supply risks, communicate to management, and support development and execution of risk mitigations as needed

  • Collaborating with QA to ensure suppliers meet GxP requirements

  • Negotiating agreements and ensure compliance to existing contracts as appropriate for indirect materials suppliers

  • Perform supplier negotiations on one-off purchases that are not covered by an existing contract or sourcing strategy

  • Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, work instructions and training materials

  • Establish key stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to interact with all levels within the organization, inclusive but not limited to Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse/Logistics, Operations, Finance, R&D, etc.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of Procure to Pay flows.
  • Purchasing experience using an ERP system
  • Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, and internal business customers, and senior management


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years experience in Pharma or Biologics Manufacturing/Supply Chain is required, or at least five years of equivalent work experience.
  • Understanding of legal concepts as related to vendor agreement contracts and accounting/finance practices.
  • MS Dynamics and/or Coupa experience is highly preferred.

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
