Description

Provides support to Governance team. Under the direction of a manager, resolves routine legal issues. Researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes to prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, etc. May require a bachelor's degree and 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to an attorney.

  • Chance for extension/conversion later Responding to OSHA complaints Responding to Fire Department Violations Heavy writing and heavy editing Working on different projects with several deadlines OSHA complaint example: ”our site doesn’t have enough bathrooms in the site” Candidate would be drafting responses back to OSHA, drafting responses back and forth with the site, then working back and worth with legal to resolve complaint. ~5-7 days turnaround Fire Department Violations (ex: sprinklers don’t work): the FD givers a certain number of days until it needs to be fixed, you’ll be drafting letters to the site asking them when it’s going to be fixed, and constantly following up with sites to fix these issues
