Title: Paralegal

Location: Cleveland, OH

Summary

Everstream seeks a well-organized team player to join its team as a paralegal. The paralegal will assist and support the Legal Department in its primary duties of supporting the business operations of a facilities-based telecommunications provider. The paralegal will report to the General Counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Review, draft and edit various legal documents including contracts, right of entry agreements, easements and other related documents.
  • Research municipal code and relevant zoning documents in collaboration with counsel to support the deployment and maintenance of Everstream’s telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Other duties as assigned include research and the preparation of regulatory filings with state commissions and the FCC.
  • Supporting discovery efforts associated with litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Manage corporate documents.
  • Develop and manage document repositories, process contracts for execution, and abstract contracts.
  • Interface with corporate teams including Operations, Procurement, Finance, Human Resources, Sales, and IT.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years proven experience in a transactional legal role; in a Planning, Zoning or Land Use Land Use Capacity or equivalent in a comparable industry or relevant military experience.
  • The ability to work with design teams, facilitate permit drawings and construction documents related to outside plant construction.
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office products.
  • Travel required: 10 percent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Paralegal certification.
  • Telecommunications industry experience.
  • Basic knowledge of GIS systems and customer and contract management systems (CRM or Salesforce).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
