Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Customs Compliance & Logistics Analyst to support our global operations and to ensure Regulatory Compliance with US Customs and Border Protection (19CFR) and the Department of Commerce (15CFR). This contract role is ideal for someone who thrives in a demanding environment, enjoys solving logistics challenges, and has a strong understanding of US Customs regulations and international shipping.
Responsibilities:
· Manage Global Shipments: Coordinate international freight with our logistics partners, ensuring shipments are timely and compliant with all terms and instructions.
· Analyze & Report: Review shipment data to identify risks, delays, or cost-saving opportunities. Share insights with internal teams.
· Invoice Auditing: Audit freight and duty invoices, maintain accurate landed cost data, and ensure financial transparency.
· Daily Tracking & Communication: Maintain shipment tracking reports and communicate any delays or issues to relevant stakeholders.
· Platform Expertise: Serve as the go-to expert for our Nexus logistics platform—manage processes, reporting, and vendor relationships.
· Support Supply Chain Security: Help manage our CTPAT program, ensuring our supply chain remains secure and aligned with CBP best practices.
· Export Support: Assist with export documentation and compliance as needed.
Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in customs compliance, exports, and international logistics.
· Licensed Customs Broker experience is a plus.
· Working knowledge of import/export regulations, import/export documentation and recordkeeping. US Customs Law and Supply Chain Management highly desirable.
· Strong attention to detail, solid business math skills, and proficient is MS Office.
· An initiative-taking, organized approach with strong analytical and communication skills.
· Familiarity with import/export regulations and documentation.
· Ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
· Willingness to travel internationally if needed.
