The Sourcing Manager is to support commercial services Strategic Sourcing to ensure successful sourcing responsibilities such as value generation, risk mitigation, contract review and negotiations, supplier relationship management and compliance with corporate policies. It requires a keen focus on collaborating with commercial partners to acquire an understanding of their program requirements and working closely with external partners to effectively fulfill the strategic sourcing process.

Responsibilities:

  • Review MSAs, SOWs and other related contracts to identify, evaluate and negotiate with third party providers, to secure cost-effective services and mitigate risk
  • Create/ Review/ Validate Analytics such as cost templates, spend reports, savings, and contracts
  • Analyze market trends, pricing, and industry developments to inform Strategic Sourcing decisions
  • Manage semi-annual supplier performance reviews
  • Contribute to operational effectiveness of Strategic Sourcing department
  • Lead RFP/RFI of supplier negotiations, award suppliers and conduct post negotiation assessments and debriefs
  • Oversee and manage the contract review process in conjunction with internal stakeholders and assist with strategic sourcing operations to drive compliance with the Global Strategic Sourcing policy
  • Ensure strategic sourcing policies, procedures and practices are aligned with applicable regulations, business objectives and industry best practices
  • Extensive experience working with cross functional teams and multiple projects simultaneously to execute against targets
  • Use of sourcing and spend analytical tools
  • Support vendor onboarding and risk assessment

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or business major is required
  • Successful; 5+ year track record within Strategic Sourcing/Procurement
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, project management and communication skills required
  • Experience working within a Category Management framework for Commercial Categories, e.g., Media,
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional teams and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong project management skills
  • Considers long-term effects and implements solutions that drive sustainable results
  • Robust people skills that include developing strong relationships and solving problems
  • Team oriented focus
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Relevant business process knowledge
