Manager on the Corporate Compliance team, you will support the Executive Director, Deputy Corporate Compliance Officer, as well as various other functional groups and regulated organizations at CME Group by performing and supporting many of the day-to-day operational functions required of the Global Corporate Compliance function. You'll be at the forefront of proactively strengthening our compliance framework, using a strategic, data-driven approach to manage risk, drive efficiency, and cultivate an enterprise-wide culture of integrity. You'll operate as a trusted advisor and system owner, applying deep subject matter insight to shape our operational compliance posture in a highly regulated, dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do
- Own the current Corporate Compliance Management System, serving as the primary steward of its design, documentation, and continuous enhancement.
- Lead the annual corporate policy review; and ad hoc policy amendments as required, including drafting documents and liaising with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Architect and deliver an engaging annual communication and training strategy, designing impactful e-learning modules on critical topics (Code of Conduct, AML, Anti-Bribery) for enterprise-wide reach.
- Revolutionize existing compliance processes and documentation to drive maximum efficiency, effectiveness, and resource optimization.
- Leverage data analytics and risk modeling to proactively identify policy and control enhancements, translating insights into clear management and Committee reporting.
- Collaborate across Corporate Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, HR, and Global Information Security to conduct robust, periodic monitoring and auditing programs.
- Coordinate essential GRC program activities, ensuring seamless cooperation with Regulatory Compliance Officers across the organization.
- Serve as a key organizational resource, providing accurate, clear, and timely guidance on complex compliance inquiries and issues.
- Develop a strong internal knowledge base of business units to strategically identify, evaluate, and present conclusions on known or potential compliance risks.
- Produce high-stakes materials for quarterly meetings, reporting on the compliance program’s operation and effectiveness to Management and the Risk Committee.
- Assist in navigating internal/external audits and regulatory exams, ensuring comprehensive preparation and swift, professional response.
- Monitor the evolving compliance and regulatory landscape (e.g., global data privacy, ethics requirements) and drive the development of necessary procedures and controls.
- Master compliance through continuous professional development, training, and the pursuit of relevant industry certifications.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience executing a comprehensive corporate compliance program, demonstrated by 8-10+ years of experience within a highly regulated multi-national company
- Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrate exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory and legal requirements practically.
- Manage complex, cross-functional projects effectively, balancing competing assignments with solid project management discipline.
- Exhibit a continuous improvement mindset, proactive personality, and a genuine commitment to understanding the financial industry's business and emerging compliance practices.
- Possess superior client/relationship management skills, engaging comfortably and influencing stakeholders across all levels and global regions.
- Maintain exceptionally strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring adherence to policy and meeting established SLAs.
- Communicate and influence assertively, clearly, and concisely, both in writing and verbally.
- Apply high professionalism, sound judgment, tact, and discretion, especially when confident and decisive action is required under stressful situations or tight deadlines.
- Utilize experience with Risk and Compliance software systems for policy management, training, and disclosures.
- Command knowledge of computer software (e.g., Google Workspace) with the ability to rapidly master new GRC platforms (e.g., Workday, Archer, Gartner, LRN is a plus).

Actual salary offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal employees (where relevant).
