The bank is seeking seeking a Senior Program/Project Manager with strong experience in Operational Risk, Regulatory Management, and Control Governance to join a Risk PMO function within a large financial services organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on PM who excels in risk oversight, regulatory discipline, and delivery governance across complex initiatives
Job Title: Regulatory Risk Project Manager – VP
Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Responsibilities
- Provide independent challenge and assessment of project and program artifacts across all lifecycle phases
- Partner with Project and Program Managers to remediate data quality, risk, and control gaps within the Risk portfolio
- Oversee governance activities including risk & issue management, phase gate reviews, and regulatory deliverables
- Track and escalate overdue artifacts, milestones, risks, issues, and mandatory training
- Support PMs with upcoming phase changes, required documentation, and compliance expectations
- Perform monthly entitlements and access reviews to ensure appropriate role alignment
- Maintain Jira artifacts and track Project Quality Assurance (PQA) findings
- Conduct thematic risk analysis and support senior management reporting and presentations
- Manage multiple competing priorities while ensuring timely, high-quality delivery
- Act as a proactive, self-directed PM driving end-to-end execution and accountability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration preferred
- 12+ years of experience in financial services, with strong exposure to Operational Risk, Regulatory Management, or Controls
- Prior Project / Program Management experience within a large banking environment
- Strong understanding of regulatory expectations, risk frameworks, and control environments
- Experience supporting governance or quality assurance reviews within Risk organizations
- Proven ability to work within enterprise PMO standards and regulatory-driven delivery models
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including interaction with senior leadership
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to challenge, assess, and improve execution quality
