Criminal Defense Litigation Paralegal
📍 Garden City, NY (In-Office | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
A respected boutique litigation firm based in Garden City is seeking an experienced Criminal Defense Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team.
We are known for delivering exceptional settlements and trial results across New York. Our firm handles high-profile and complex matters, representing clients who have been wrongfully incarcerated, falsely arrested, seriously injured, or involved in sophisticated corporate disputes. This is an opportunity to be part of meaningful, high-impact litigation work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of civil litigation case support from intake through trial
- Prepare and file documents via ECF/PACER and NYSCEF (New York State Courts)
- Draft demands, pleadings, and other litigation documents
- Obtain, review, and organize medical, prison, psychological, and employment records
- Maintain case files and litigation calendars
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients
- Provide responsive, proactive support to attorneys
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience
- Strong knowledge of federal (ECF/PACER) and New York State court filing systems
- Excellent drafting and document management skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional demeanor and strong client service skills
