Job Description: The Conflicts Attorney will support the Legal Risk Management department in Chicago with the clearance of conflicts of interest for client matters. The Conflicts Attorney will interact directly with lawyers in the global offices of the firm to analyze and clear conflicts.
Responsibilities Essential Functions:
- Review, identify and resolve potential ethical and business conflicts of interest issues with respect to clients, matters and new business and incoming lawyers
- Conduct thorough reviews of conflicts of interest reports, resolving issues identified on a timely basis
- Work closely with members of Conflicts and New Business Intake Departments
- Coordinate search requests and communicate with attorneys across the Firm
- Assist firm lawyers with engagement letters and waivers
- Stay current on recent research and thinking on ethics and conflicts best practices and rules across jurisdictions in which the Firm has offices.
- Undertake special projects as needed

Job Requirements:
- U.S. law degree and law license in good standing status in Illinois
- 3+ years of related experience in conflicts
NOTE : Search firm agencies will not be utilized to source candidates for the Conflicts Attorney role. The salary for this position is $145,000 to $191,800, although the actual salary could be lower or higher if the candidate’s skills and experience level are different from those specified above.
